All you need to use OutfitOpinion.com is an internet connection.
Viewing Outfits
You do not need to be a member to view outfits that have been posted by Members or to vote on outfits that have been posted by Members. Just go to the Outfits Gallery by clicking on the Give Opinions menu link at the top of each page.
You can see larger images of the outfits by clicking on the small image in the Gallery. This will open to a larger image on the Outfit page that will offer more details about the image. On the Outfit page just follow the links under the image to go to the next image, back to the previous image or return to the Gallery.
Voting on Outfits
Help a girl out an vote for the outfit, "Yes" you like it or "No" if you don;t. Voting
can be done from two locations.
One is from the main Gallery page. There you will find a Click To Vote link under each image that will take you to the Vote page. On that page you will see a larger image of the Outfit and the Yes or No voting options. Check the vote option you want and then click the Vote button. Your vote will be registered and you will be returned to the Gallery page where you can vote on other outfits.
The second location to vote from is on the Outfit page. When you click on a small image of an outfit on the Gallery page you will be taken to the Outfit page where you will see a larger image of the outfit. Under that image you will see the vote options. Check the one you want, click vote and you will be returned to the Gallery page where you can vote on other outfits.
Votes can only be seen by the Member on their Members Profile page. You must login to see your Profile page.
Becoming A Member and Getting Opinions on Your Outfits
You must be a Member to get opinions on your outfits. To get started just click the Get Opinions menu link at the top of each page. This will take you to a login page. If you are a returning Member you can login using your email address and the password you set up for yourself when you registered.
If you are not a Member then click on the Sign Up Now button to create and account. You must be at least 13 year of age to create an account. It's Free! You will be taken to the Create Your Account page . Complete all of the information on the Create Account Form. When complete you will go directly to your Profile Page. You are ready to upload the images of your outfits and start getting opinions.
Your Profile Page
Your Profile page is where you can update your information, change your password or email address, delete your account if you no longer want to be a member and add new outfits. There are also links to share your outfit on your Facebook, Twitter and MySpace as well as share your outfit by email.
All active outfits that you have on posted will show on your profile page. Below the picture of each outfit are the vote results, and sharing links. There is also a button to delete the outfit when you are finished with the outfit.
Uploading/Resizing Your Images
You can upload as many outfits as you like. The only restrictions we have are that the images not be obscene or of questionable content as per our Terms of Use and that the images be resized to a manageable width, height and file size. We do this so that the website pages load quickly for you and all our Members and visitors, so that you can have an enjoyable browsing experience on our website.
The good news is that our website resizes the image automatically for you. When you click on Add New Outfit you are taken to a page to search your computer for the image you want to upload as well as add a description or a question about the outfit. When you select the image and click the Submit button the image will upload to our server. (Note: it may take up to a few minutes the first time you upload and especially if the image is large.) When the uploading is complete you will see the image already sized correctly to our standards. You can now use the photo as is or crop out unnecessary space or people in the picture. See next Help Tip for Recropping.
Images must be uploaded though your computer. If you use your cell phone to take the picture then transfer your photo(s) to your computer before trying to upload. Why? Because mobile sites are expensive and this website and the service it offers is free!
We hope to provide a mobile application in the future, but in the meantime there are two ways to get images from your phone to your computer. If you have a smart phone, you can use a USB cord to connect the phone to your computer and upload the images that way. We have found the easiest way is through email or MMS text messaging. From your phone, text the picture to your email (standard text messaging rates apply) or email it from your phone to yourself (you only need one email address to do this.) You can then open your email on your computer and upload it from there.
Cropping Your Images
We have provided an option for you to crop out unnecessary spaces or people on your images if you so choose. When you have uploaded your image and are viewing it on the Crop Image page you will see that the image has been resized and you now have the option to crop the image or use it as is.
If you want to use it as is then simply click on the Click Here if no Cropping Necessary link about the image. If you need to crop the image then follow the simple directions on the page.
